I've been around for 30 years and 161 days (well technically 162 days now that I'm typing this... I originally wrote this last night... on paper... I know. I'm already a bad blogger. I heart paper. I also heart uncomfortably long parenthetical statements). While my 30 years 161 days in no way makes me an expert on anything, except perhaps punctuation, I have accumulated a reasonable amount of good stories, been through some shit, had a crap-ton of fun, and am still here to take on another few adventures... Which brings me to my pseudo point here. At the ripe old age of 30 years 161 days, I realized that the times, they are a changing... fast, and I want to document it. I'd also like to document my wittiness from time to time... ya know, just in case a streak of witty comes along.
Along the way, I'm sure I'll introduce my peeps, whose names will assuredly be coded enough that you can't stalk them, but if you know me, you'll be able to figure it out. You'll also probably get to hear some lovely pre-wedding spazfests since I'm tying the proverbial knot in about 3 months. I'm also currently surrounded by pregnant women which should inspire a few interesting posts. It's just plain wack when your friends you've know since you were 13 start procreating.
I do believe there's another reason for my blog, yo. Just over 3 months ago, I lost one of my best friends. I think of her daily and have been loking for an outlet to share my thoughts and memories of her. Since I'm not a religious lady, I think I might dedicate Sunday Blogs to her. I'm thinking of doing SMB Sundays... for all things SMB. When she left us, I think she took a big part of my fun with her. She was my fun. I revel in my memories, and I think they'd make decent reading... especially for those of you who had the amazing opportunity to know her. SMB, where ever you are... roller skating with the Care Bears, I love your suh-wheet self.
And on with the show.
That is all,
SBC
PS - If you see a typo, please don't hesitate to point it out. I would be rather embarrassed to have them just hanging out there for the world to see for ever and ever. I'm tough... I can take it, yo.
