So the whole bit in the post about Scotrun, PA totally reminded me of an 8th grade bus ride home with TS. In our Jr. High, we had to take a health class and it was only one semester long, so about half of the students got health class the first half of the year and the other half got it the second. I had health class the first half. TS - second.
For some unknown reason TS got fixated on the word scrotum and started using it in varied 8th grade situations. This was about the same time that we ended up in the sex ed portion of the health class where we learned all about the male and female reproductive organs. When TS loudly called some guy a scrotum on the school bus one afternoon on the way home, I got the delightful experience of informing her of EXACTLY what a scrotum was. She was soooo embarrassed, and I was hysterical.
Even now, every once in a while, I like to call her a scrotum just for old times sake. This has remained one of my favorite school bus memories of Jr. High. Ahhhh good times. ...still laughing... I absolutely cannot wait to tell her son, BabyM, this exact story. Hopefully when he's about 17 and perhaps when I meet his girlfriend for the first time.
That is all,
SBC

hahaha!! that is hilarious!! it reminds me of the time in the 4th grade when i had to explain what a "crotch" was to one of my friends. dont all 4th graders know what a crotch is? that should definitely be one of the content standards.
Oh WHATEVER, Oprah! If I have a daughter, I'm going to tell her it's a tutu... That's wha I've called it, and look at me... I'M FINE! ...most of the time anyway.
Jesus I can't even proofread my own comments. Yarf.
Ah the good 'ol days of innocently screaming the word scrotum ... where has the time gone?
And I believe it was waiting for the bus behind the Jr High not actually on the bus (unless I did it more than once which is quite possible - I did really like that word for a while).
Behind the bus... ON the bus. I can't really be expected to remember these 18 year old details. Holy shit balls that was over 18 years ago. I gotta go get my cane.
