Abbreviate This!
Being the computer geek, internet-addicted mom-to-be that I am, one of the first things I did when I was done peeing on inanimate objects (because who REALLY wants to pee on animate objects anyway) was join a few various discussion boards and forums for other folks who are in the same delicate condition. Now I'm here to ask... what the hell is with all of the abbreviations? Acronyms? What the crap ever you want to call them? DH, DS, US, EDD, BFP, BFN, LMP, holy hell is it really that difficult to... oh I don't know... TYPE IN FUCKING ENGLISH... BIG WORDS? USE YOUR ALPHABET PEOPLE!?!?!? I'm spending WAY more time trying to decipher the "code" that I most certainly did NOT get the secret decoder ring for than I am commiserating with other people who are also miserable pregnant like me. Call me an old-fashioned English major nerd, but is it really necessary? In case anyone hasn't noticed DS is only ONE tiny letter less than just typing out son... and son is actually easier to type because it's not in all caps. Sheesh!!! And DH? I'm sorry but darling is never a word I use to describe my husband. He's awesome, terrific, wonderful, hunka-hunka-burnin' love in my opinion, but DARLING? That's just silly. Who ever came up with these anyway, and how did so many people just decide to jump on board and adopt the annoying use of abbreviating anything and everything? Huh?

I am also annoyed by all the random abbreviations in some forums and discussion groups - it gets worse, just wait....
When we were TTC, I was so excited to get my BFP after the agonzing 2WW... obviously my DH and I did the BD right when I O'd (or maybe just a good point in my LP!). And, I didnt even use an OPK so I did not get to POAS too early! Bye-bye AF and hello H&H 9 months!!!
Sound familiar? Ugh, so annoying!! Just tell all of them to STFU :)
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU JUST SAID!!! LOL. Please step away from the abbreviations... YOU, sweet Pearl, are better than that!!!!!!
